About Me

Working at the intersection of design and technology, I find joy in decoding UX and UI challenges and translating them into delightful and memorable user experiences.

Manuel León

I’m a designer based in San Francisco, working at the intersection of art, culture, and technology. My creative work explores themes of identity, storytelling, and community through visual and digital media. Past projects include virtual simulations for peacebuilders, commissioned artworks for Smithsonian cultural events, and Maya calendar–inspired pieces that reflect my heritage.

Alongside this, I have experience working in user experience and interface design systems for organizations like the World Bank and, currently, Apple—focusing on large-scale digital tools and enterprise platforms. I move between visual design disciplines and creative experimentation, always looking for thoughtful ways to bring meaning and a sense of artistry into the work.

Maya Calendar Design

This branch of my design work is the meeting place of my ancestry, spirituality, knowledge, passion, and skill. It is within a personal effort to widen access to this sacred knowledge to a broader audience while retaining the integrity and depth of these cultural symbols. The importance I put on treating this visual narrative with respect and integrity is rooted in my personal story and values. Learn More
