The Mural
Design in collaboration by the Indigenous Design Collective: Frida Larios and Manuel León
Led the creative and artistic direction for a community mural featured at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian for their Maya Creativity & Culture Milieu event. This event brought together Maya artisans and knowledge keepers and attracted 20,000 visitors over 3 days. The interactive installation educated visitors on Maya symbolism and values.
